• Alvaro can play both as a DD assassin and a long range damage farmer. She can take early game fights as her burst fire provides a huge DPM boost as she disengages from the fight. Be careful when taking fights as Alvaro herself tends to eat a lot of counterfire due to her large size. After dealing with the DDs, harass larger ships with long range torps and guns, using smoke to avoid damage when the situation calls for it.
  • Burst fire is ideal for situations you are about to exit combat. For example, you smoke up and lose sight of the enemy, you are about to go behind an island.
  • Burst fire also increases accuracy, useful in some situations
