Damage build

• This build trades some spotting utility to maximize her damage farming potential. Good for increasing PR, but not for winning games.
  • If you want to farm and dodge even harder, drop conceal mod for steering.
  • Just get the Engine boost mod, it’s relatively cheap and significantly boosts your performance
  • Honore is a decent captain because of his improved AR skill. Auboyneau is also good because of his improved SE skill and the capture talent.
• French DDs can play as high speed DD ambush ships or as long range gunboats that dodge tank enemy salvoes. In the ambush role, their high speed can surprise DDs in the early game, catching them off guard while your MBRB tears them apart. Done properly, most DDs will come out crippled, if not outright sunk. You can transition to a mid-long range gunboat playstyle for the mid game, harassing cruisers and BBs from a safe distance. Besides dodging, use your high speed and reposition to wherever you are needed.
  • Don’t neglect your strong AP, broadside cruisers and BBs will quickly go down when used properly.
  • Note: Mogador and Kleber surface detection is too high to function as DD ambushers, treat them as long range gunboats instead
  • Have speed boost active when dodging enemy salvoes

Kléber

Unique Upgrade build

• This build is centered around Kleber’s unique/Legendary upgrade. You will rarely be using your guns, and it is all about repositioning as quickly as possible to wherever you’re needed.
  • More of a meme build in randoms, but LM Kleber is a staple of competitive whenever she is allowed
  • Honore is a decent captain because of his improved AR skill. Auboyneau is also good because of his improved SE skill and the capture talent.
  • If you don’t have the Engine boost mod, use ERP (it’s practically mandatory).
• UU Kleber plays more like a F3 Shimakaze with a bit of Paolo Emilio, providing amazing spotting while launching torps at near suicidal ranges to maximize accuracy. She can somewhat gun other DDs with MBRB active, but don’t expect to kill them. Instead, sit in front and spam torpedoes as they push in. You can even do the occasional torp rush if the opportunity presents itself. You won’t get many high damage games, but when you get those good games, you will rack in the (spotting) damage.
