Laffey

• Tier 10 Laffey is a close range gunboat with superheal, toggle smoke, and burst fire. Very high survivability with smoke and heal, but at the cost of slow speed and relatively low damage output against larger ships
  • Today, Laffey is preserved as a museum ship in Charleston, South Carolina
• Laffey uses a modified gunboat build
  • RPF is taken to enhance her anti-DD capability. FB or -5% gun reload time are fine alternatives if you desire more DPM instead
  • Laffey does not benefit from Doe’s improved skills and Halsey’s talents are very difficult to activate. They should be prioritized for other ships
• Laffey has a fairly unique close range gunboat playstyle, closest analog being Daring. Excellent at contesting objectives and fighting other DDs. She gets up close and smashes enemies before disengaging with burst fire and a puff of smoke. Superheal lets her tank hits that would kill a mortal DD. Once the DDs are dealt with, you can farm enemies with the remaining smoke or open water gunboat and draw attention away from your allies.
  • Laffey smoke is best used for quick disengagements to break spotting.
  • Remember to turn smoke off once you are done using it
  • Burst fire cooldown is 25s, use it when disengaging or finishing off enemies
