Congress

• Congress is a Tier 8 large cruiser with hard hitting 305mm guns and long lasting 10km radar. Very tanky and punishes broadside cruisers with improved AP, but lacks firepower compared to other cruisers.
  • Congress is a CA2F design, a collection of cruiser designs armed with 12” guns that would eventually lead to the Alaska class cruisers.
• Shares the same build as Alaska
  • Outnumbered is taken as it tightens her battlecruiser dispersion, boosting her otherwise lackluster damage output
  • Halsey or the Doe brothers are great for their improved Gun Feeder skills. If you don’t run a captain with improved GF, consumable specialist is a fine alternative
  • Standard US CA build is fine if sharing captains with other tech tree US CAs
  • If you don’t have radar mod, use hydro mod or DCSM1
• Congress shines when positioned aggressively, using islands and her HP to withstand enemy fire while radar pushes enemy DDs away from caps. If being aggressive is too suicidal, she can kite away, using her AP to punish cruisers who don’t respect her guns.
