Standard build

• Classic well rounded BBs with improved heal, DCP, and very accurate main guns. No major weaknesses, though their slower shells can makes fighting very long range enemies difficult
• This is a standard BB tank build that provides great survivability for maximum game impact.
  • If you're using this build on Constellation, make sure you use range mod in slot 3.
  • You may use range mod instead of turret traverse if you feel like you lack range.
  • For Tier 7 and below BBs, take BoS instead of IRPR as you are unlikely to gain the extra heal though 2 million potential damage
  • Rudder > Prop mod for Montana because 22.2s rudder shift is unacceptable
  • Other BBs can take Prop mod if the player is more comfortable with that
  • Halsey and Doe brothers are recommended mostly for their improved skills.
• Montana line plays as a jack-of-all-trades, having above average performance in most situations, but not necessarily excelling in any particular one. Typically you play at mid range, around 10-14km, focusing on vulnerable cruisers and broadside BBs. Target DDs when possible as a good salvo can remove ½ their HP. Adaptation is the line’s greatest strength, reading the minimap and predicting enemy actions is important to getting the most out of her (and any ship really)

Damage build

• This advanced build puts emphasis on damage output, and is made possible by USN BBs’ improved Repair party. You will have to play more carefully and take less damage in the long run because of the reduced survivability.
  • If you want a more moderate build, swap SHAP for IRPR.
  • For maximum firepower, trade FP for ERE. Be aware makes you very vulnerable to fires unless you are Maine
• Recommended for more experienced players who understand how to control HP
  • If you are new to BBs, take the standard build instead
• Halsey and Doe brothers are recommended mostly for their improved skills.
• Applies to North Carolina, Alabama, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Ohio and Maine.
